“Jürgen Moltmann: Theodicy, Hope, and the Crucified,” with Rudolf J. Siebert

The founder of Ekpyrosis Press, Dustin J. Byrd, discussed the life and work of the “Critical Theologian of the Cross,” Jürgen Moltmann, with Ekpyrosis Press author, Rudolf J. Siebert. Moltmann, who was influential in the development of “Liberation Theology,” passed away on June 3rd, 2024, leaving behind a library of critical theology, influenced by the Frankfurt School, Ernst Bloch, and his participation in the Christian-Marxist dialogue movement. Ekpyrosis Press author and critical theorist, Rudolf J. Siebert, recently discussed the “Christian Resistance to Fascism” with Ekpyrosis Press founder, Dustin J. Byrd. Dr. Siebert witnessed first-hand the Christian exuberance for fascism in Nazi Germany, as well as the resistance that some Christians put up against the far-right ideology. In this discourse, Dr. Siebert remembers his experiences in the Third Reich and analyzes the continual growth of fascism ideology in today’s world.
