On November 28, 2021, Ekpyrosis Press sponsored a roundtable of scholars commemorating the 1975 death of the Iranian social theorist and revolutionary, Dr. Ali Shariati. Steeped within Iranian and Shi’i Islamic history, the scholars delved into the meaning of Shariati’s work, his relevance to today’s society, as well as his place within the pantheon of revolutionary theorists.

Participants included: Sayed Hassan Akhlaq (USA), Dustin J. Byrd (USA), Michael Naughton (UK), Seyed Javad Miri (Iran), Mehdi Shariati (USA), and Esmaeil Mehdi Zeiny (Malaysia)
