Description
The I and the Non-I: Beyond Subjectivism and Nihilism by Gholamhossein Ebrahimi Dinani (b. 1934-) is a profound philosophical inquiry into the unity of being and consciousness. Bridging Islamic metaphysics and modern phenomenology, Dinani dissolves the traditional dualism between existence and awareness, presenting reason as the luminous essence of reality itself. In his Ishraq framework, the “I” is both the mirror and the manifestation of being, while knowledge, love, and intellect converge as expressions of divine light. Through rigorous rational analysis and metaphysical reflection, the book redefines reason as a sacred ontological principle, positioning Islamic philosophy as a living dialogue partner within global philosophical discourse.
